Training for 5-10 year olds
For most of the history of Raptors, the issue of training younger kids has been problematical. We loved the idea of training 5-10 year-olds but the reality was tricky. How do we train really young runners alongside our older, faster, more experienced kids? This problem was solved by the arrival of husband and wife, Romy and Andre. They are both experienced runners and their son Finley is a very talented and enthusiastic runner.
Romy and Andre volunteered to begin a training program exclusively for beginners. They are great! The workouts are tailored to be productive but fun and full of variety. Since this program started it is the fastest-growing segment of the club and many parents have told us that Raptor's Sunday workouts have become a highlight of their kid's week!
